I became involved in art because I believe that through self-expression comes the realization of self-identity and that the various genres of photography ranging from abstract, nature, realism and others aid in this quest.  I use the concept of metamorphosis in a personally transformative sense to explore and share my perceptions in various forms through, what I call, Metamorphic Art and Photography.

By exploring my surroundings through large scale and macro photography using different cameras, lenses and media I have expanded my perspective and gained experience that has greatly helped me to understand the process that all artists must go through in order to grow and evolve.

My interests range from one of my earliest attempts "Peace on Earth - Fractured" to commemorate the horrific Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14, 2012, where twenty children and six adults were killed, to the beautifully symbolic Yin-Yang spiral of the seashell.

Photography and art have deepened my appreciation of unnoticed beauty and have helped to clarify my self-identity.
